How often do you have a shop (or yourself) tune your bow?

When I bought my bow in 2005 form Galyans (now ****'s) I got very little info on how to set up or maintain the bow. (hindsight says NEVER buy a bow from a big box store again) I sighted it in with the set up it came with. (they did set the draw length for me, sort of). I got pretty accurate at close range, but something seemed off, so I just put it away and went back to rifle hunting. Anyway, I decided last year to dust it off and have a pro shop set it up. Now the damn thing is like a tack driver out to 40 yard. (probably farther, but that's my personal hunting limit)
Back to the point, Is this something I should have done every year? I would hate to have the accuracy and consistency fail even a little bit next season, but don't want to throw away money either.

    Thoughts?

Every year, the string stretches throwing things off. And if you really shoot alot you should be every year as well because you should be replacing your string that often.

Once you have the bow tuned perfectly one time...make sure you keep an eye on it...but if you shoot like my dad 5 times practice then all the deer he kills..then you dont have to worry about it as much

Honestly, you'll have to do a little fine tuning... maybe each year. But if you keep it inside and shoot it frequently it will stay tuned. Keep the string waxed and and it will last you a loooong time. Even when I was shooting 250 arrows a week my string lasted for about 2 years. Granted it stretched and I had to put it on a press every now and then to tighten it up, but I definitely got my $80 worth. As your string and cables stretch you may have to tune the rest occasionally but that would be about it.

I don't disagree with the others but I check my tune all the time. Not every time I shoot but quite often I'll just do something like walk back and group tune. Less often I'll get out the paper and shoot through that. I also keep a bareshaft handy and will throw that in my group of arrows fairly often.

If you shoot/practice enough you'll know right away If your bow Is In tune.

If I didn't know them (from memory), I'd write down my bow's measurements.....when in proper tune.

Thanks for the info. I think Ill just have the pro shop fine tune it every spring/early summer. I like just being able to pick it up and have it hit the mark without fussing with it much. Those guys at Macrotech know more than I could ever hope to anyway.
