I am wanting to eventually start my own bow pro shop and was wondering if there are any schools that you can go to get certified or trained to actually work on bows from the initial set up to final tuning. I think PSE has one but not real sure.

Also, does anybody know if the bow manufacturers have a system in place for this kind of thing for their products?

    Thanks.

your best bet is to get a part time job at a shop that services bows and then learn from the bow guy there. Hopefully it would be a good shop with a competent bow guy and you would not learn a bunch of bad habits.

Your best bet is to work part time at a bow shop. Yes, manufacturers have training programs (at least BowTech, Mathews, and PSE do), but you need to be a dealer or working for a dealer to attend, it's not open to the public.

Find a dealer that will eventually allow you to attend the training. Of course if he pays for the course, you have to consider the ethics of not staying with him and actually competing with someone who has helped you.
