Yes sir, this would be it if I had chosen to stick with marketing instead of taking a job on the manufacturing side of things. Sweet job for the right guy or gal.

    Ugh. I couldn't even imagine.

Are you qualified for this position? Would you ever consider working for them again?

As for the job posting...wow, I'm in the wrong field. Look at that salary.

Pat, it's cool that you, have handled this with so much character, I've been there (still am lol).

You know that you don't burn bridges, cause you never know what the long, winding road of life has waiting.

    Good luck in the future...

But you have to consider cost of living etc... in the area. I'd imagine the teachers are also well above your pay grade too because of that. Matt / PA was telling me the cost of living, via housing etc is out of this world. He said the house he sold in York would be near 1/5 mil out there and mine would be over a half mil.

So the lay-off a guy who ever one likes and respects, and then open up a new job for someone else.

God I love excutives, LOL It appears they are just as dumb in Oregon as in MI.

I didn't know cost of living in Oregon could ever be that high. That's crazy.

Any time you throw in living an hour or two from the ocean with an hour or two drive the other direction from the mountains for skiing or whatever it is... Yep; it's gonna be ridiculous! ;)

One thing, though. Teacher's salaries don't usually change much to reflect the cost of living. Maybe that's why that salary looks so appealing.

I don't have a degree and probably but I would have to take some things into consideration.

It is indeed. That's one thing that kept me from considering moving there.

As a matter of fact, it's almost exactly one hour to either. I loved it every time I went out for a visit.

    Right on...:D

You wouldn't believe how many times (a day) I tell myself and others the same thing.

Heck, I wish I knew as much now as I did when I was younger. ;):D
