Crap... the bow shop that I have been going to since day 1 of my archery career just went under. I always had fun shooting there and just mingling with the other shooters. I also got great service there. Time to look for another place to shoot and get service work done that I can't do myself.

It's really tough times for a lot of Full time dedicated Archery Pro Shops. Many in the TriState area around here are part time and the owner has another job.

I know 4 pro shop owners (including myself) in a 100 mile radius of me. I consider all the owners friends. All are basically part time, and owner has a full time job to make a living. I also own and run a small construction co & have for 30 plus years, Another friend is a Welder, the next works in the Coal Mine, and the last works in the Oil Field.

It's the love of the sport that keeps you in it.

Most of the Big/Full time places are pretty diversified, selling camping gear, fishing, guns, and pretty much anything in outdoor gear. These places seem to have slightly less expertise among employees in the Archery section. It's just the way it is! :(

    Yup...............

Buckrub is just too far of a drive for everyday shooting. Thinking about checking out that place in Fond du lac (forget the name off hand).

The only thing I would go to FA for is shooting. They do have a nice range. Beyond that forget it.

Bummer for sure. Mean V2 pretty much covered it above, Archery Pro shops just don't make it unless the owner has a good "Other" job or carry something else in the store to help sustain the archery business.
