A bunch of us from the shop are headed to Oklahoma to go hoggin in April. We're going to a place called bow safari (www.bowsafari.com) and what little I've heard is pretty positive.

I'm just wondering if anyone out there has been to this place.

Well look at it this way. The hog hunting can't be any worse than at Dubbya's place. :D

The truth is difficult to find argument with my friend. But it sure was fun!

Alright you slackers... Matt, I'll remind you... mobow actually shot a pig. In fact he spooked them on the way in and I called them and told them to come back so he could shoot one!

Raceway blew my cover, but the pics and story from last weekend will be up soon in blog form! ;)

Yeah, ya know.......I actually did see quite a few pigs that one evening. Of course, buckeye and bols think I shot an armadillo (oh wait.....even though 'dillas are crawling everywhere in the OK, we didn't see a damn one) or dropped cherry kool aid through the briars. I was the only one who saw any, but if memory serves me correctly, I saw about 20 that evening.

Oh and Mo, that's 35 miles from where we hunted last weekend. What weekend again?

I had the pleasure of seeing the biggest feral hog I have ever seen on Dustin's lease just last weekend. He was a grey monstrosity of a thing. Pig tracks were everywhere! Timing is everything though. At times I felt like we were hunting polar pigs...no need to worry about snakes.

Yeah, I wish Jess would hurry up and get her story posted. She did so well!

I went last year in March and i did not have a good experience. The owner didnt seem to know very much and seemed unaware that we were even going. we ended up shooting our hogs on the last day after not seeing a single hog on the first day. I did not like it very much. I am going to a place called black moutain hunts on april 1st i have never been but we thought we would try a different place

Is that the place down by Coalgate? I've heard mixed reviews.

There's tons of hog hunting places in OK. Black Mountain is supposed to be a good one. Shiloh and Chain Ranch are popular too.

I am really envious, Mo. I hope you have a great time. I'd love to add a pig to the critter list, some day.

    Good luck!

I just had some friends get back from there and said the owner lost the lease and had 0 hogs on the place. The guy let them shoot some deer and other animals he had because he did not have any hogs.

That is absolutely 100% false information... you should check your sources and then check them again.

River View in Ada, OK is an excellent place to go and their prices are much much better than the Chain.
