I see a lot of guys shoot and the bow will fall forward post-shot. I was holding a Mathews bow and it was incredibly front heavy while my Bear was evenly distributed. Is this why and if so, what's the benefits? Thanks.
I think a lot has to do with what stabilizer you have on the bow. A longer stabilizer will fall forward while a shorter/no stabilizer may stay put.
Most of today's parallel limb bows tend to be top heavy to start with. I've noticed Mathews bows seem to be more so than others. I don't think there is a particular reason for it, its just the nature of the design.
My hand is completely open on the shot, the bow just sits there without any tendency to fall forward. I noticed that the bow falls forward alot when watching target archery, I put it down to them having huge stabelizers
