I am trying to tune a mathews creed for a friend of mine its the same as mine 28 inch draw about 58 pounds. It has a dropaway rest, and an apex gear bone collector sight. The sight box is all the way down and the top pin is midway down in the sightbox and it only hits on at 10 yards? i worked on it for a while but faced frustration, any ideas what this problem could be, rest maybe? Thanks in advance -BowHunt4Life
Seems like a rest/nocking point issue to me. I'd put it in a vice and use a level set to make sure everything is where it should be. My guess is something's out of whack. Is it possible the rest isn't coming up all the way when they bow is at full draw?
Potential causes: peep sight might be too low..common problem if your draw length is longer then it should be. your nocking point my also be too high OR both your rest an nocking point together my be to low. Next thing to look at. I have set up that sight on couple bows and the pins tended to be in lower third of the housing just how that sight runs... If your riser has multiple mounting holes use the lowest one. You can depending on the rest move the position slightly above the burger hole, just be sure to adjust your nocking point along with it.
