I really dont like my bow camo. I really want the rise and limbs all black. Which paint would you use?

First of all, do not use spray paint. Second I recommend having it professionally dipped. You will need to take it apart sandblast it then use a expensive paint to finish that off. It will be too big of a project for a teenager. Unless your strictly target shooting I don't think having a camo bow is that bad. Just save your money and upgrade to a new bow down the road.

OK. Ill stick with the camo. Does it matter if I spray painted the stabilizer? Also its the Pse rally.

You will also need to take into account that a bow is a precision fit machine with very tight tolerances. Every piece is in a specific place and adding a thick layer of paint may mess with the fit and function of parts.

Another thing is that is a rotating module bow. With moving parts in the cam and paint would have stuck those down and made them immovable if gone bout in an improper fashion. As for the stabilizer, it will have virtually no effect IMO

I painted this bow last summer. Of course I completely disassembled it. I would never consider just taping stuff off and spraying it all together haha.

I didn't sandblast anything. Just lightly sanded all surfaces to avoid damaging the glass limbs. There was a thread on Archerytalk that convinced me to try it. It came out pretty nice. I gave it to my nephew and he loves it. He killed a deer with it on his first hunt.

It's not a job you want to try unless you have experience with disassembling and reassembling bows though.

Google Randy Ulmer and rattle can bows... Guys been taking paint to bows for some time without issue. If you have a press and are willing disassemble to do it correctly they can come pretty good.
All that aside if I am breaking a bow down to paint it....I would take it a step further and just ship it off to color fusion and have it done right...

Onestringer Custom Arrow Wraps they make something called Limbstations.. Kind of like a wrap for your limbs that way you don't need to re dip your limbs etc... hope this helps
