I will be hunting my bowhunt only lease in my blaze orange this weekend here in WI. Hunting with a bow for the gun opener....Anyone else doing the same?
Hope the deer are pushed my way and stay because there is just less pressure...Anyone have experience with bow only leases in high pressured areas?
    Good luck!

I'm bow hunting in my orange in VA. Gun opener was this past weekend.

I have the same situation OP. I haven't hunted yet but I've got 90 acres to myself. Hopefully the guns and pressure will push them to me. I'll find out this weekend.

I will be in PA, but not the opener. It is buck only in my area the first week and I filled my buck tag already. So the first week will be border patrol, then Ill get 2 days of bow hunting for a doe before I head back to work

My experience is that the deer will find a safe place and hunker down unless hunters are up and pushing them around. If all the hunting is stand hunting I wouldn't expect you to see an increase in movement.

Opening day of VA means dog hunters for us. Most counties in VA allow hunting deer with dogs and it is very popular in my county. Depressing.
