I have a Hoyt single cam with 27.5 DL and that is the highest I can go. If I get the correct module #5 do I have to do anyting with the idler wheel at all? I am getting the correct DL which will be 29" I hope. Reason I ask about the Idler is because I seen on another site while searching for the module that you can buy a different size wheel. Thanks, T
Most likely you will need a new idler......You may also need to get a bigger cam as well, and for that big of a jump you will also likely need new string and cables. This is potentially a rather expensive venture...I will say that I can't definitively say, but it's been my experience with that large a jump in DL you pretty much need new everything. The best way is to go to a good Hoyt dealer, or even better contact Hoyt directly. They haven't made a single cam bow in quite a few years and answers may be difficult to find for your specific bow.
Huh? :smash: No Hoyt, Much Cry.....that's what Bob said to me. So I bought a Hoyt and spared myself the drama. :d Just kiddin' Peak. Good luck with the new bow.
I heard those things blow up when you shoot them outside of MN. You should save yourself some problems, and send it to me....
Peak how's the new bow, have u shot it yet? I'm curious if there would actually be a bow out there that actually might be quieter than a BOWTECH. Don't break man-law and not post any pics. You might face the man-law tribunal at the GTG in June.
