Hey all, I am wanting to get a press for my house, but don't have a ton of room and really don't want to spend $400 on a large press. My question is, would a bow master work for my helim to do minor tech work at home? I would be doing things like tying in peeps and possibly changing strings/cables. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance, Bud Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Personally I wouldn't try. When bow legs go past parallel you have a chance of making the press slip with bad things waiting to happen. I looked for a small/portable press that could do everything and only found this: press It may not be tiny, nor pretty but it works well. I used it on my Creed XS twice already without any problems. It seems very safe as long as you place the press correctly on the bow. Highly recommended. Peter, Denmark
Not sure if it'd work on your bow or not but look into a (probably spelled wrong) syninum press. Heard great things about them.
Any suggestions of other portable presses that would work better like the one above? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes that press will work i have used it several times on a Z7 and no issues.... just be smart and take your time and the bowmaster will do the trick where the problem lies with the bowmaster is when you get into the past parallel limbs.
Just remember, so far the Bowmaster press only works with bows not past parallel (maybe they'll upgrade it with an adaptor later?). But for now, you don't know how your next bow will be, so consider if it's worth it. You may end up with a useless bowpress. Thats why I personally wouldn't buy a press that can't go past parallel. Can't suggest others than what I already did, but maybe someone else can?
