Hey everyone. I'm new here and also new to bow hunting as a whole. I'm familiar with archery, but i'm taking it to the next level by hunting real game. Anyway, i was wondering if anyone would care to give me tips, advice, pointers and recommendations for getting started as a bow hunter. I have my own bow already, a Hoyt Easton compound, 60#, 30". I have the basics for it including a waterproof case and a few arrows equiped with basic field arrowheads. I have very basic knowledge on whats good as far as gear goes, but could always use some advice from experienced bow hunters. Any good (non-offensive (other forums treated me poorly)) advice and such would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and i look forward to connecting to new people here and gaining knowledge.
Welcome to a great site. Good to have ya here with us. I would basically suggest doing searches on any topics in the thread search section, as topics or questions come to you, because its probably been discussed before. If you have trouble finding answers that way don't hesitate to ask. There is a wealth of knowledge and advice from some great folks here. Again welcome aboard.
WytRhino you will feel right at home here with us. To be honest you will learn a lot just reading the chats that go on. The best advise I can give is that you have to get what is comfortable to you. Everyone is different when it comes to gear. If you have questions we are all here to help you better yourself. You will learn a lot here. There are a lot of great people on here.
Like the guys said, do lots of reading, and you'll find your answers. There are threads on every topic imaginable and then some. Welcome to the addiction!
Welcome! Forums like these are a wealth of knowledge (some BS too ) but you can really learn by just looking at past threads and posts. If there is a question you have, ask it. The only dumb question is the one never asked.

Welcome to the site. I suggest that you research any of the equipment you need yet. Buy what you can afford, and like, and then just practice,practice,practice. Once again, welcome aboard, and good luck.
Welcome to the site, I have found that new guys who come to the range or to the local archery shop and just ask a few questions normally get a lot of great info. It can be a bit intimidating but you just need to let people know you really want to know how to do what they are doing as well as they do it. Most guys will help you alot!!!! If you are close to a good local shop the guy who owns it will be good resourse because he will want your business. Buy your broadheads and releases from him. Don't try to sound smarter then you are you will learn fast. There are videos and a wealth of how to knowledge on the web and in this forum. Practice will make you better faster then buying the newest stuff. Match your arrows to your bow be sure 30" is your proper DL find a consistant anchor point and have fun doing this thing. I love it.
