2009 Bowtech Admiral 75lb draw weight. ive noticed lately that when i draw back, the last inch or less there is a click, almost like metal hitting the side of the bow or something. is this normal?
I cant remember how long its been doing this. just notice now because im getting more serious at shooting etc...

    Thoughts??

had the same exact problem with my bow. there was a little bit of rust in the very inner part of the bottom cam. i took it to the shop, they put it in the press, took the cam off and oiled it. click was instantly gone and never came back.

You should here my buddy pull back his 2011 EVO, sounds like rice crispies.... Something to do with some washers in the limb pockets... but that's a PSE.

That sounds like it would be bad in the woods?

Check the tightness of the small bolts that are on the cam. the ones that are used to adjust draw length.

If one is loose enough it will cause a click sound as it contacts the inside of the fork on the limb.

I hope you can understand what I am saying. I saw this happen with two Diamonds. Might be the same issue with your Bowtech.

    1. Is it coming from your roller guard?
    2. Is it coming from a set screw on your cam?
    3. When's the last time you had your strings off?

I'd also make sure the cams aren't rubbing the limbs themselves. It could be the set screws too that Windwalker mentioned. If so, I'd lok-tite those suckers.

I had the exact same bow and the roller bearings in the top cam went bad from rotating in the same spot all the time , i found it when i pressed the bow and took the cams off to put some oil on them .........you might want to have them checked , if you need a set of bearings let me know i have a few extras that are new

Knew two 09s that had a click in the roller. The fix was to use a teflon washer in the center instead of the middle e clip.

Thank you all for the replies. I have never had the strings off, I will check all the bolts.
It is impossible for me to pinpoint where its coming from.
maybe ill have a friend ear around when i pull it back.
    thanks again

Ok, I checked all the bolts everything was tight except the bolts that hold the cams to the limbs. 2 were about 1/4 tun loose the other 2 were tight. there is a bolt on either sides one was loose on the bottom and one was loose on the top? so i tighten them . Are they supposed to be loose or should everything be tight?

after checking all the bolts it still makes that click. i cant pinpoint it....

Did you check the bolts for draw length adjustment?

If so then your problem may be the bearrings as others have said.
