Have any of you guys used some type of wrap on your grip kind of like what
some of us may have done with a bat handle for softball/baseball.
I have not shot my new bow yet but the handle seems a bit thin for me.

No, but I did not know that this existed! I will definatly be looking into this.
Honestly, I was going to go to the local bike store, and buy some handlebar wrap. lol.
I have a grip on my current bow that is being held on by some electrical tape. Ghetto, I know.

    Peakrut and MNKK.

I know Simms makes a wrap similar to the one above, I don't know if that is the only pictured in the pic you posted Tony or not.

If you are looking for something just to thicken up the grip without worrying about the insulation part, I have seen guys use black tennis racket wrap before. Hit up your local sporting good store and you should be able to find replacement wraps for either tennis rackets or baseball/softball bats that would at least give you a feel for the thickness you prefer before you go with a more "hunting" type of wrap you may prefer instead.

I've seen people wrap with the tennis grip wrap like Bols mentioned as well. I'm assuming this would be the cheaper route than getting an aftermarket grip. Me personally? I like the thinnest grip possible. Less contact area for less chance of torque.

I spoke about this in another topic somewhere else yesterday. I have large hands. I like to feel like I am holding on to something when I am carrying the bow, or just waiting with it. When I shoot, I don't really care.

Thats why I was going to use the handlebar cork wrap for road bikes. I know you can get that in just about every color, and It withstands a bit more abuse. Those guys really tork down on that stuff sometimes.

Then again. Electrical tape seems to work just fine. lol.

Yep, personal preference is all. They wouldn't sell the stuff, and you wouldn't see people using it if it was bad.

Bols this a picture from the limbsaver website. Not sure if I told you but I bought a Limbsaver DZ32 bow.
I am also looking for a bit of insulation as with my Hoyt that grip had my hand pretty cold last season.
I am going to go ahead and buy some and see how it works out.

Ironically I was looking at this same stuff the other day. I just don't know why anyone would mess with the perfection that is my Bowtech grip. I like the slim grip for less chance of torque as well.

I used to use it on my old PSE for a season, it was a pain in the arse because it wraps and tucks in and woulod slip out and unravel. If I can find it I'll give it to you to cover part of that ugly thing up, hahahahaha.

Peak, I had the same problem with cold hands this late season. If I was holding my bow, the metal of the riser would wick all my heat away. I put a Simms insulator strip on the front of my grip this Jan, and I love it. I still have the thin profile of my wooden grip, but the padding in the front is perfect. That's all I needed since my wooden handle isn't nearly as cold as the aluminium.
