What's a good bow for a first timer? And how much money is the hole set up going to cost? I want a good bow no junk but I aint got a lot of money to just blow.
You can pick up a PSE stinger combo for $399 at Bass Pro Shop. it includes arrow rest, quiver, and stabilizer. it's basically ready to shoot as is. You'll still need to pick up arrows, broadheads, and a release. You can get releases pretty cheap and always upgrade later. You'll need to ask the bow pro at the shop what arrow you'll need. don't just pick any arrow up they all are designed to ballance with the wieght and speed of the bow. The pro can also suggest the best grain broadhead.

The Hoyt Prohawk is a great starter bow for the money. The top end bows don't kill deer any deader. Shoots smooth and is forgiving which is what you want for your first bow. http://www.hoyt.com/compound_bows/details/prohawk
