I have been looking at a few different bows to get my girlfriend. its between, the parker sidekick, pse chaos, diamond razor edge, and the bowtech equalizer.
my question is 1, which one would you pick, (not thinking about which one she likes, just which one is the best?)
I was liking the equalizer over all of them, it would be the oldest out of all of them, but i think it has better spec. am i wrong in thinking that?

now for the other question, she will not be able to shoot the equalizer, but she could shoot the others at a bass pro or cabelas. should i discount the equalizer since she cant shoot it?

she will be shooting 25 inch draw, and 40-50 pounds. so i would like to get the fastest bow, but still be forgiving so its easy for her to shoot.

Do you have a pro shop near by?

    short answer no.
the only shop nearby only carries mathews.
the other shop near my parents house, only had a small variety of bows.
cabelas or bass pro, has the best selection around me. the problem is the bowtech equalizer is a few years old so no one has it in their store.
she would be able to shoot the pse, parker, and diamond, but i feel like the equalizer may be a better bow even though its older.

in the end i will buy the bow off ebay, or one of the forums, since the deals are so much better.

I am going through the same thing right now also. For me it is hands down between the Diamond Razor Edge and the Mathews Jewel. Both great bows I am going to let her shoot the two and decide for herself.

If you have a mathews dealer near by they prolly have a mission line. Mission makes good youth/woman bows...the craze or the menace. My wife shoots the Menace and its the quitest bow I've ever heard.

In my opinion, I would go with the PSE Chaos. My girlfriend has been hunting for about 5 years with me and I bought her the Chaos last year, and it is awesome. Very fast bow for the poundage. She shoots 50lbs at 25 1/2 inch draw and her arrows fly super fast. I know speed isnt everything but it definitely dont hurt. She shot an older Parker for a few years and she says this bow is much smoother. Pretty quiet too. She shoots Axis 600's which weigh a tad over 7grains per inch with Montec broadheads and has killed a couple with the setup.

Mission is really good stuff. Started my son out on one, and now my daughter is into the pink Craze thing. Thinks she's pretty cool since her's is pink and mine is just ugly green camo!! Real smooth, real quiet, good price and highly adjustable.

well we ended up going with the parker sidekick extreme. she drew back the chaos, and mission, and the parker was much smoother and easier.
her old bow was set at 39 pounds and was fairly hard to pull back, her new one is set at 52 and is pretty easy for her to pull back.
another odd thing is the old bow was 25 inch draw (maybe an inch long at most) the new bow is set at 22 inches and just about sits in the same spot as the old one.
the dealer said something about the fact that the parallel limbs is why she was such a shorter draw with the new one.

I hope she enjoys her parker sidekick extreme as much as I enjoyed my Parkers, I shot Parker Bows for many many happy years and I still have my Tournament Parker ( Cant give it up it just shoots to good ) I even shot my biggest buck with one of my Parker Bows :)
