I've been shooting target archery for a while and can land a 60 yard shot easy. Im new to bow hunting however. Im looking for a bow around $500 or lower that can handle experienced archer but also feel comfortable to a new hunter.

If you want to recommend some arrow heads that are prime for deer hunting too that would be nice.

Can't help you out, sorry...I have not seen a really good bow for $500 lately but there are several that I have not looked at yet either.

I shot a Hoyt Carbon Element G3 and a Spyder turbo today and both were fantastic but the Element is over a grand and the Spyder was over $700.

Id look into Mission bows, they have quite a few in that range.

Would you think 700 is enough to find a decent bow?

U can get a mission ballistic for 500. Its a great bow. For 700 you can get a great bow since most new bows are good. Go to a couple shops and ask to shoot every bow in your budget and let the bow pick you. You dont need to spend 900 on a bow unless you want to

If you look in the AT classified you can get prior year bows for around $600 bare bones atleast. This year is almost coming to an end so 2013 bows are coming down to $600 price range.

If your experienced I'd go with a duel cam, they're faster but have to be kept in timing, the Mission Balistic is a good duelcam.
The Hoyt charger is also a great bow. It runs about 700 for a package.

Bear has some good moderately priced bows, A used Elite is always a good option as they have a fully transferable lifetime warranty. As mentioned Mission bows are pretty good, you can't go wrong with a Hoyt Charger. PSE also has some great lower priced bows, check the AT classifieds and hunter's friend.com.
