i just bought a helim and i need a case. I was looking at the lakewood but the nice one is $260, i think the skbs are too big expensive, but i found the plano case that fits the helim for $50 on amazon does anyone have this case. size is a definite factor too. thanks

I had the Plano case until last week. For the money its decent. A little more flimsy that I expected, but it protected the bow well. The part I didn't like was that there isn't enough room for my small tool box (just a plano fishing organizer box), and it only held 6 arrows.

The other day I bought a Tarantula Deluxe Soft Bow Case along with an Easton Arrow Tube. I must say I love this set up. I am sacrificing some protection by using a soft case, but I am able to carry everything I need. It has a ton of storage space and sufficient padding for trips in the truck to and from my hunting spots.

I am a huge fan of the Lakewood cases. I have been using one for years and will be getting another one in a few months when I get my new Helim. They are a bit expensive but so is the bow you are looking to protect.

I bought the SKB double bow case a couple weeks ago. Expensive. But, worth it.

I use a Plano case and always have. Some cases are more expensive than others but when it's all said and done, it's all about what does the job. A $40 Plano case will protect your bow just as good as a $200 SKB case. So why spend the extra money when your basically getting the same thing???

You aren't getting the same thing. Compare a $40 Plano to an SKB and you will see significant differences in quality, construction, etc. My $40 Plano lost a hinge pin in two weeks.

Let's see Plano up warranty similar to SKB's: http://www.skbcases.com/sports/support/warranty.html

I'm looking to get a Lakewoods. I look at them every time I'm in the archery shop and imo nothing compares. The arrow and accessory kit are great additions to this case. Funds are low so I'm hoping maybe as a gift. If you have the funds thats the case!
