Just trying to find out what kind of cases most of y'all use. I picked up a SKB today from Academy but my bow seems to fit funny. I've got a Hoyt Carbon Spyder 30 and need to have room from my sight and stabilizer but not too much. The foam foam on the SKB is pressing down on the limbs where the cams are and I'm afraid it may cause issues. Plus the case is so big I can fit the bow in backwards! Anyone have a case that may be a better choice? Especially if your shooting a Spyder with the 6.5" Hoyt stabilizer on it. I've even thought of going to a soft case if I could find one with enough protection.

I'm looking for any tips or recommendations or secrets. I kept the receipt so I can always take the other back and buy a different one.

Look at the cases from game plan gear.
I just bought my wife their " shoot like a girl" case.
They have a couple others (sniper and the pass through) but their cases are a soft case with a hard spine. So it opens like luggage.
The inside is lined and the supplied bow tie down secure to the bow and stick anywhere inside the case.

I like Gameplan Gear Sniper for soft. SKB hard locking case if you plan to fly.

I have the SKB and really love it for protection. Have flown with it several times and never any damage to case or bow. They are tough. My Z7 extreme fits with a lot of extra room and I cut some soft foam material and customized the inside to fit the bow for a more snug fit to better combat the abuse the baggage handlers tend to dish out.

I have a Plano case that my wife got me for my birthday last year. Good solid case with locks & lots of storage. No complaints so far.

For hand bow you can't beat this case in my opinion. I can get my camo gear packed in there, separate pockets for arrows, other for tools, etc[IMG][IMG]

I have been wanting to try one of the lakewood products cases but they are just WAYYYY over priced. Not worth it.

I have a SKB 4119 which is one of the few cases I found wide enough for my Z7 Extreme. The Z7 Extreme is short so the foam in the case doesn't grab it real tight. My solution to keep the bow secure is to fill the case with my hunting clothes and makes for great cushioning for the bow, arrows and other stuff. I also keep the arrows either in a box or tube and don't use the little arrow holders that come with the case, so the arrows are well protected. I normally ship the case by UPS when I travel to MASS to hunt with family and its worked very well. The 4119 is a large case heavy duty and serves me well. Not sure if it will fit your bow but worth a look. For local hunting out of my truck here in Florida I use a soft case to carry the bow in.

Thanks for all the advice on cases. I went with the Game Plan Gear Sniper case. It's made for a 36" bow at the biggest and has lots of storage for everything else.
