Hey guys I just got my bow and Im looking to get a decent case to put it in. I don't want to go spend an arm and a leg for a case but figured I could get a good case for a good price. Any suggestion? Looking to stay under or around 50 bucks but open to all options.

I would just go with one of those $30-40 plano hard cases.

These are good cases. I load both my bow and my boys bow just fine.

How much did you spend on your bow? Just buy a real nice one, SKB / Lakewood etc... They are not like bows meaning you will keep them forever where bows you will buy a new one for time to time. I have $1200 in my bow. I don't think a $200 case is excessive to protect it.

^Exactly^ I am buying a SKB case this week that will hold both of my bows. Best price I have found is $235 and I think that is very reasonable. I saw Matt's at the GTG and those things are built like a tank. Worth every penny!

I have a new bow that cost about 500. I was looking at the plano cases and they seem like they would do just fine to store my bow but I know sometimes cheap isn't always a good thing either. Ill look into the skb as well

I have a plano case that works just fine, but I store my old bow in that. Now I just use a soft case. My thinking is it is much quieter, no banging around when you're getting it out of your vehicle. In my opinion I would not spend that much on a case unless I would be traveling on a plane or something. I think a soft case protects it plenty, I just don't toss it around or stack stuff on it. My 2 cents.

I bought the SKB rectangle case (not cheap) for my $1100 bow, but that was mainly because I was going to be hunting in Canada a number of times. Other than that, hunting here at home, I don't even use a bow case. My bow hangs on my gun rack at home when not in use, and sits on the soft back seat of my Silverado when going hunting. Either way, my Vectrix goes in comfort. :tu:

Mine came (used) with a Flambeau seems very solid with four latches, holds most of my gear as well. $35 Flambeau Hard Compound Bow Case-403546 - Gander Mountain

If you ever plan to travel (ie.Fly) get the SKB I use their guitar case it's nearly bulletproof been dropped many times and my Strat is still damage free !

Early in I would love to hang my bow up along my gun rack but I don't have that luxary sadly. I wont need the case for transport but just protection from laying around my house. I have a room where all my gear goes in but I have dogs that sometimes go in there and the wife and Id hate to have my bow get damaged for something that can be avoided
