I'm in Austin, TX accompanying my wife on a business trip. I'm not on a hunting trip but plan on hitting a range.
I packed 2 bows and a bunch of arrows. Everything arrived unharmed but the corner of my bow case got crushed in. I hate to think if it was a soft case.
What really pisses me off is you can't get this case anymore. I think I'll go to Lowe's when I get home and see if I can get metal corners to pop-rivet on.
I will be contacting Virgin America to let them know I paid $25.00 extra for this to be checked into baggage.

Man that thing is a relic! Sucks the airline did that. Hopefully the idea of the metal corners will work.

Yeah but it's lasted all these years. I haven't seen a better one yet.

Airlines are relentless. I videoed them bouncing gun cases and bow cases while loading a plane on the way to Saskatchewan. The luggage they chucked around but it seemed like they wanted to damage the bows and guns. My SKB case took the abuse and the bow was fine. Took the video In case. I now drive unless I really have too. Sorry they did that.

Had a case punctured when I flew last year. The case manufacturer had an airline guarantee and they replaced the case free of charge with only shipping charges.
