What does everyone have in the books for the upcoming year?

    For me

3 states of Turkey Hunting this spring KY, TN, somewhere with Rios
July trip to Trinity River TX to chase Alligator Gar
December back to Arizona to chase Mulies/Coues with my unburnt tag from this Jan
Obviously Whitetails in KY this fall
Bonus Points Only for Mulies, Elk, and Sheep in AZ, WY, CO, UT

Other possibilities on the table without anything set in stone

3rd year applying for a GA gator tag, if we draw that will be in October
Might try an Alabama hog hunt this summer at a friends lease
Possibly heading back to Alaska for a Caribou hunt if I can save up the dough
IF the right hunt opens up in late May, I will be in Canada for Black Bears
If the AK Caribou hunt falls through, the backup plan is California Blacktails

A lot of exciting stuff on the table with even more possibilities. I got to hunt 5 states this past season, saw a lot of new places and tried new things. Was successful on many hunts and unsuccessful on just as many. I look forward to trying to trying to match such a great year as 2009 was in 2010. What about you guys?

I plan on putting the shotgun up and killing my first turkey with a bow. Shotgun is fun but I feel I need to step it up a little.
    Texas hog hunt
Get back to Bowfishing we actually have 4ft long gar running up stream here in the spring.
Get my son on his first deer with a bow.

It is that time of year, hard part with me is not knowing for sure what luck we will have in the draw. I will be applying in a few states for elk again this year (Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming and Colorado). Last year I was fortunate enough to draw a New Mexico Gila tag and can't wait to return. With some family medical issues, I had to pull the plug on the Illinois Archery Hunt but hope to go in the next few years, but may choose Wisconsin instead

If you are Looking for Rios you might take a look at KS. I never saw So many Turkeys before in my life. They were very aggressive, responding to calls and attacking decoys. Definitely different than the Birds on public land here in IL I am used to.

The only thing I am fairly certain of this year is WhiteTail in IL. Haven't drawn a Turkey tag yet.

I'd like to go back to KS Turkey hunting, and NE Muley hunting once again, but with the economy the way it is, it will be a wait and see situation.

Colorado- As long as everything goes smooth with my milk hauling business I'll be in Colorado late September.

Minnesota- As long as I get drawn I'll be hunting bears In my home state the 1st week of September. Hunting whitetails here as usual too. Turkeys also this Spring.

Wisconsin and North Dakota - Possibility of hunting whitetails. See how the finances are.

Not much on the table...but very excited about 2010:
Spring: turkey with bow IL public draw hunt (with 3 buddies applied as group)
Spring: obtain more acreage for Whitetail in proximity to our property
Summer: take my kids fishing more, and shoot their small bow
Summer: increase workout plan, prepare for CO
Fall: CO Elk in Unit 45 with the gang
    Fall/Winter: IL Whitetail

I can't emphasize enough how having this CO Elk hunt on the horizon helps motivate me each day - always great to have a goal to work toward (especially one that requires me to remain in great shape)...I love the planning/preparation involved.
For those of you that have a hunt you always wanted to do - start planning now - even if it's a ways off, or just a smaller trip for deer/turkey nearby...you'll never regret it!

I will be chasing turkeys in Mississippi in March. Also hope to hunt turkeys in Nebraska and ofcourse Iowa.

I am going to Alaska for coastal black bear in June. That has been a dream of mine for a while now and I had to cancel last year when my son made the 12 year old all-star team in little-league. They asked me to coach and he was so excited. I figured my bear would just get one year older. lol

This Fall I will be heading out West to hunt elk. Not sure where yet??? I went to New Mexico two years ago and to Idaho last year. Might try Colorado.

The rut will find me right here in southern Iowa.

We have some Rios for you! You should try to come here. I think we'll be hosting another bh.com member as well. We could make a group hunt out of it!

My only plans (other than the normal turkey and deer) involve a possible CO elk hunt with my best friend.

I suddenly want to go to the recent tread about how much you guys spend on hunting a year. Lol.

I'll be hunting whitetail somewhere in PA.
I wouldn't mind trying for a bow kill for turkey... somewhere in PA.

I will be Turkey hunting in May here in Maine

Wait and see on the draw for moose in Maine, not expecting to draw

Hopefully get a chance to set some bait for black bear in Sept

Kansas in Nov if drawn, have access to a large piece of land, if not drawn I will get in my truck and drive to either Indiana, missouri or another of the midwset states where you can buy over the counter and try my luck on some public land, tagging a bruiser is not as important as just knowing their is a chance a bruiser can come around the corner at any time. After the amount of deer i saw in illinois last year I will never go a year without going to the midwest, especially as long as our deer numbers continue to decline here.
