I bought the moultrie d50 and the d55-ir. I bought them online eventhough I had heard mixed reviews, but I got a deal I couldn't pass up. So does anyone have either of these? How do you like them and do you have a pictures that have been taken with yours?

Curious as well. I know of other Moultie cameras that are pretty good but not this one. I am hoping to pick up half a dozen cameras this summer so because of cost I am going to have to go with what I can afford instead of what I really want. What price were you able to get them at?

I've heard they are pretty solid cameras. Not the fastest trigger speed and they don't have all the bells and whistles but if all you want to do is inventory your area, they are more than adequate. Looking forward to your pics.

Ive got 2 of the d55ir. Using them for the last year and a half. One works great and takes pretty good pics. The otherone never gets as many pics i think the sensor is faulty. I need to put them side by side and see if there's a difference. All in all pretty good for their price.

I have used the D55 flash and it's fine if you have it over a feeder.

I found them on ebay for 120 shipped. I read they do well over feeders but not so good otherwise. Only problem is I can't have feeders here in illinos

Cams came in the mail today. Set both up and let them snap a few pictures of the dogs running around the yard. I have to say I like the d55ir much better than the d50, but so far they both seem to be good enough to suit my needs. I guess I will find out for sure later this month when I can get out to the woods and hang them.
