I got a call from a buddy that a local company which makes AR-Lowers, etc. had some lowers in stock. While they aren't at the level of what I wanted to build, I decided to just buy a rifle they built up with their lower, upper, barrel and lower kit. I might change the barrel and lower parts later down the road, though for now the whole gun has a lifetime warranty and they are 15 minutes up the road. They are doing a black and brush camo that isn't on their website yet and I fell for its uniqueness. The rig was priced at $1200.00 with flip up sights, trying to decide now what sight to mount on it. Hopefully I will be out of work early tomorrow to pick it up.

Well... who is it? What's the website??? My brother is looking for a basic AR. The kind that used to cost about 700.00. (remember those days?) :)

When you going to try it out? Do you have a place to shoot up there?

I saw ads for cheap lowers for sale at R Guns. I wondered who made them.

They do them themselves in good ole C-Ville. Their stuff is ok, I plan to build another rifle down the road if we are still allowed to buy them in this state;) I really want to do a Spike's Tactical with the Punisher lower and trick it out. Down the road I might get a longer barrel for this one and turn it into a Yote Gun.

I still have a complete lower looking for an upper.

My friend posted a pic of a lower that had the pictogram of :( (safe), :) (fire semi-auto) and :D (for burst) Another one had 'get off my lawn' and 'seriously'. LOL. I want!!

Anytime you want I have access to a 100 yard (or less) range. Good for pistols and short rifle work. If you want to get together for longer range, let me know ahead of time. There are some places around here.

You could join the Aurora sportsman's club. They have a 600 yard range. It costs an arm and a leg and a gonad... but it's a nice range. :)

What kind of optic are you looking for? Red dot or magnified or perhaps a cross of both?

Up in the air. Someone amongst us has a bootleg EOTech 552 I was thinking about grabbing and using with the flip up sights. I was also looking at a 3x scope that they sell where I'm getting the gun from.
