just ordered my new bow Hoyt nitrium 30 29in DL 80# draw. my question is what would be the best arrow to fling out of this bow i was thinking FMJ's but not sure i'm whitetail only THIS year. hopefully next year i can draw a moose or elk tag i understand i'll need different arrows for moose or elk. but in general what would be the best arrow to throw

FMJs would be a good arrow in a 300 spine. That way when you draw a tag you won't have to switch

I think you'll be better off at .250 spine at 80#. At .250 FMJ will be heavy and would be the ticket for moose and Elk penetration that's for sure. For Whitetail I would shoot something with a lower GPI weight...I like black eagle rampages. Easton Axis should be able to do both if you use the heavier HIT inserts. I would have complete confidence shooting an elk or moose with my 415gr black Eagles though as well.

I would actually highly recommend the Gold Tip Kenetic as an all carbon arrow with decent weight. Finding something is .250 spine might be fairly tough though. Easton makes a .260.

You could get away with a .300 if you kept it under #80 and had your arrows a little shorter.

JDub is correct though, a .250 would be ideal
