I thought because the Boss looks like it would need another gear to work which may cause it to be harder to turn. Just thinking which in itself is probably the issue. I can not pick between the Boss and the Tommy or a fix pin Spot Hogg Hunter or a Hogg It. So many people have said the Spot Hog Boss and the Tommy are too heavy compared to the HHA sights. Boss is 12.8oz, Tommy 11.5oz and the HHA 5519 the newest one 11oz. So not much difference, people make it sound as though they are 5lbs heavier. I just need to figure out to either go with a single or fixed pin. I shoot mostly in the woods. I have fields that allow 60-90 yards. I need to pull the trigger this week to purchase one. Thanks for all your input and help!
Well hopefully whichever you choose, you make sure you get it sighted in well before heading to the woods. I've grown partial to a single pin, multi pin tend to blur together for me. Only thing on a single pin is make sure you check your distance before shooting lol. Other day at the range I had a brain fart and didn't adjust when I moved to a further target and hit the very bottom. In the stand I pick out reference points so I can make a quick adjustment on the dial
Thanks. I reached out to Spot Hogg asking about the slop. What she told me was that there is no slop but the Tommy does move smoother. How I am taking that is by comparing it to a warm knife going thru butter than a cold knife going thru butter. I wish someone on here used both so we all can get an opinion. How smoother? Thanks again.
Both dials turn the same, friend of mine has the Boss Hogg. Only difference is length and position of the dial.
You've asked me this before and I've answered already. Go look at their website and see the difference
