I have Alpha Burleys ...love them in wet conditions ...but for all day hunts, they make your feet sweat .AND they are not warm in these cold temps ...

One other thing ... they definitely do not have the ankle support for climbing hilly terrain all day .....

So I am looking for the lightest, warmest, most supportive boot out there ... thoughts?

I have the Alpha Burly's too. How many grams of insulation are you using? Mine have 1000 and are a bit warm during the early season but during the cold they have been super so far. This is my first season using them.

i bought a new set of alpha burleys this year also and love them they are super light, but cold for sitting on stand in cold weather. i seem to have cold feet anyway most times, what i did for stand hunting was i bought two small wool caps and put one over each of my feet with a foot warmer inside the cap and put a rubber band over the cap. it's funny but cost effective way to keep on stand longer

sorry i am a cheepo, most would say buy another set of boots and if money is no problem go for it, i spent mine at the taxidermist this year.

I had a pair of Alpha Burleys. I replaced them with Muck Woody Elites. I'll never look back. I do a lot of walking up and down hill at the lease. Very comfy, better than my slippers at home! I have only checked them for low temps at 18 degrees. Nice and toasty and I didn't fill them with sweat.
I bought them right here at BH.com and when I wear this pair out I'll do it again.

Ok what is cold to you all. I have a set of Sorrells that kick ass in -0 weather. They are not all that comfortable, unless you call warm feet comfortable.:D

I didn't get a chance to test my Alpha Burly's in too cold of weather, but they sure were comfortable. However, I do agree about the ankle support. I would be looking for an alternative (Mucks would be a first choice) if I did a lot of hiking into stands.

Sorel Intreped Expedition. Well worth the $200 Like I said not the most comfortable to walk in, but you will not get cold feet. Last year it was a cold November. Below 0 air temp and I hiked in 1 mile in these for all day sits.

Thanks TeeJay ... that is up there in price .. I am wondering if there is a comfortable boot that might be almost as warm? I would love a breathable waterproof boot ..

With all the boot threads on here this is the first I've noticed Irish Setters but that seems to be the best for us up here. Alot of my friends wear them.

I'm in my first year with Snow Claw XT's and love them. Might sweat a little in warm weather but great for cold, waterproof, breathable and good grip. 2000 grams thinsulate.

For rubber boots I'm leaning toward the Muck Woody Max or Elite. I noticed at a local Rural King they have Lacrosse Alpha boots with 1500 gram of thinsulate.

I bought a pair of "Bone Dry" 1200 gram by Red Head from Bass Pro last year. This is my second year wearing them. Too warm for early season, but for late season I have no complaints. My feet never get cold. Good ankle support. Might be a touch on the heavy side, but I like the warmth and support. Very comfortable with a lot of room too. One pair of insulated socks and my feet have never been cold on stand.

As far as warmth, army surplus mickey mouse boots are extremely warm. But they aren't light and they aren't very comfortable. I haven't worn my pair in several years due to the weight.
