while im buying new everything im looking at getting some new boots. I have decided to put some hang ons in the swamp. For bow season i wear normal timberland gore tex boots and look them... they are great but for the swamp will soak me... i want an uninsulated boot for the early season and something that is high... i can deal with the ankle fitting cause i cant get my foot out and i dont wanna spend over $100 if even that.... i am really thinking about the Lacrosse Alpha Light neoprene boots with the 3.5 mm thickness but do not now how hot they will get or the quality..

Any suggestions on these or another light style boot to cover the lower leg?

If your going with that style then I would go with Muck boots. More comfortable but I dont know the insulation on them.

I have varying opinions... I love the muck boots but they're pretty heavy if you have to do a lot of walking in soggy conditions. I've had a couple pairs of the Lacrosse Alpha Burly's and loved the boots, but if you don't keep them conditioned properly the seams will crack. So far my favorites have been the LaCrosse Burly's the regular OD green. The material is a little softer and the rubber has a much more solid seam, the sole and toe wrap is all one piece as well. They're available in both insulated and uninsulated models and are about $65 on bh.com I believe.
