Haha! Most of it is actually on film. A few bucks I couldn't get due to being pinned down by the ones close to the blind. If I can get this deer killed I will share everything:cool:

no hunting for me last night. NW winds are the worst possible direction for hunting both the deer I want to shoot, so I worked on some stuff at home. No hunting today either. I'll be back after it Friday.

Finally back in a tree. Weather is terrible...again. Its 70 degrees and wind is 25mph wnw. Not a high percentage day, and once again I can’t hunt the stand I want to be in because of wind direction. The buck Im after is toying with me. Showing up in daylight almost every single day...in front of stands I can’t hunt with the wind direction We keep getting. So im perched 400 yds from where I expect he will come out trying to hold on to the tree for dear life

27mph NW wind today. Not ideal, but that seems to be the story of my season so far. I used the wind cover to check some cams and now I’m sitting in a blind on the south edge of the draw where my #1 lives.

Interesting development...one of the bucks I know very well from last year is back. The buck I call Jerry; he is 5 1/2 this year and he blew way up this year! He is all over the farm now. I may go after him in late muzzleloader if I don’t find my #2 by then.

Well last night was interesting. I saw a bunch of does and a few yearling bucks but nothing too exciting, so I started packing up at last light. Then this guy pops out at 15 yards
    [IMG]

He isn’t a shooter, so I let him walk. He went out to 32 yards and bedded down in the field right in front of me. I texted my wife and told her it might be a long night. He layer there for an hour and a half before getting up and walking up ovythe hill. Then I was able to slip out without spooking him.

Checked a few more cards today. The back 40 buck, the one that almost ran me over last week, showed up on camera. He had 11 points last year and only has 9 this year, but he added some width and mass as a 4 year old. I gotta find some comparison pics of him and Jerry from last year.

I've heard of people using laser pointers or something to run deer out of a field after dark so they could get out without them being booted by a person.

Maybe you were kick'in back on grandma's special cough syrup a bit too much to stay warm? ;)

well last night I saw the same 145" 3 year old I passed last week, and then at last light I saw the buck I call Jerry. Taking tonight off. Terrible wind...again. Looks like I finally may be able to go in to where I have wanted to for 22 days tomorrow evening.
