I’m in! Off to my left is a huge bedding thicket. Cedars, hedge apples, and a big south facing crp field through the cedars. Off to my right is an alfalfa field where all the deer feed out to. “He” walked under this tree last night Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Freaking great. First time in a new stand and my rangefinder quit working. New batteries 2 weeks ago and the stupid thing won’t even turn on. Was fine last night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well he will be so close you wont have to guess then. Positive vibes. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Well I saw probably 30 last night. Saw a 160" 3 year old 10, a 150" 4 year old 10, a 140" 3 year old 8, the same ancient 8+ year old 8 point, and several small bucks...but not the one I was looking for. I was hopeful as deer were moving really well...but 15 minutes before dark the same stinking coyote from the night before came out and cleared the entire field. I high tailed it out of the tree when that happened. It will be Friday before I hunt again.
It is apparently impossible to livestream to multiple platforms at once, so I have to pick one at a time. My Facebook and Instagram pages have way more traffic/followers so it makes more sense for me to live stream to those. I will however be uploading full edited past and future hunt episodes to YouTube. It's a project I have been working on for a long time. But yes there will be a lot more YouTube content...just not likely live.
I have never wanted to be in a tree more in my life than today. 87 degrees yesterday at 5:00 pm. 41 degrees this morning!!! And here I sit...at work...with my phone sounding like a pinball machine with alerts from my cell cameras. And today is literally the only day I cannot hunt...I am predicting my #1, and probably multiple other mature bucks will be on my cameras in daylight today. Had one Tank bodied 8 pointer on my smaller lease in my food plot for 20 minutes this morning.
Back at it this afternoon. Made a move a little after Noon. Came in with a new ground blind and put it up 65 yards from where my #1 has been coming out. Fairly risky but the blind is on the corner of a haybale yard with a bunch of weeds, so hopefully the deer don’t notice too much. Got set up by 2:00. 1st 2 deer already out at 3:07 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well that’s freaking awesome. Sitting in my blind after my #1 and my cell cam is sending me pics of this at my lease Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well last night I saw my number one… Twice. Along with a 150 inch 10 and 140 inch eight point. The big Tenpoint got to 52 yards and my number one was another 10 yards behind him. But they never got close enough before dark.I had to sit in my blind until almost 2 hours after dark because there were deer all around me. But I did make it out clean. I’m going to try it again this afternoon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saw a bunch of deer last night. Not the one I wanted to see, but overall deer moved really well despite the rain. I saw the little buck with his face chewed off that I have pics of since January. Weird looking sucker! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I also passed the same ancient 8 point I saw opening night. He stood broadside at 21 yards for over 20 minutes. I had to stay in my blind an hour after dark before he and the other deer fed over the hill and I could sneak out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow, I can't believe you have the audacity to show yourself hunting from a blind...if you were a "real hunter" you would be out there spot and stalk hunting at 1200+ yards.
