I always have less bucks in the summertime, I wouldn’t worry about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Exciting day! Checked camera at my most productive mineral site. Boy ohh boy what a card pull! Mr Clean looks like he is trying to push G5s! Last year he was 160”. I think he has a legitimate shot at being a booner typical. 5 1/2 this year. As insane as this may sound, there is a good possibility I will pass him unless my number 2 buck quits showing up on camera. That buck will outscore MR Clean by 25-30 inches. But last year he disssapeared in October and cane back in January. So if that happens I will go after Mr Clean Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trident is still around. He has to be 9-10 years old. He threw a unicorn point and stickers in his goofy side! Would be an awesome deer to kill. Im gonna try to get a buddy on him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I really enjoy following your thread, man. I'm amazed. Thanks for sharing. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Last year there was a tight racked 3 year old 9 point on the home farm. He’s back! He’s a chunky 10 point as a 4 year old. Looks to have some similar genes to Mr Clean, but not quite as big. Looks to be around 140”. Hopefully he makes it another year. Here he is in 2017 And here he is now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fingers has pretty much finished out. I can’t get over how much he blew up from 2-3 yrs old. He has also started showing up 3/4 mile west of where he spent the entire year last year. Here he is in 2017 as a 2 year old Look how much he blew up this year! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is another buck that has really put on the inches from 2-3. I call him Crooked Beam. Last year he was a pretty average 2 year old 8 point. This is proof positive giving deer birthdays is key to growing big deer. Here he is in 2017 Look at him now as a 3 year old . He’s gonna be a mega 8 point next year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is actually one of the bucks I am most excited about. Not many guys get fired up about a 2 year old...but I think this one has 200” potential if he can make it to 4 or 5. A mainframe 10 pt with forks on both g2s and both brows. 14 points as a 2 year old! If he does what I think he might these may be the last pics I post of him for a few years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looking good buddy. I had a deer similar to your last one we called “Future” that just disappeared this year. Hoping he shows back up soon, I know he survived the season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I also have a two year old I am really excited about always nice to see really good up and comers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Awesome, some greatness right there! I hope your buddies are as good as a friend to you as you are to them! lol
What did he look like as a year old deer ? Are there certain markings you have studied on them that you can distinguish from year to year?
Here are a couple better pics of the 2 year old. I still need to go through last years pics and see if I know him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This time of the year I have a hard time convincing myself of ages on deer who are not fully mature. What do you see in the 14 pt that makes you say he is a year younger then the 8 before it? Is it just simply that it’s the first year you have pictures of the deer with good antler growth? If that 8 point just showed up this year would you say he was 2? Im just curious I have a hard time seeing much difference in the two. Once we get to the end of October I feel like I would be able to tell but now I’m personally stumped lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
His body screams 2 years old. His skull isn’t even finished growing. Snout is still short. The 8 point I know is 3 for certain as I know him from last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey boon, how often do you check a camera? I know you have multiple spots so you probably rotate through but how long are they soaking before you check? Sent from my SM-G930P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
