Tell ya what as a full time farmer and year around outdoors man since was able to go alone at the age of 13-14 years old. I would give my left nut and half of yours to be in your situation. I hunt public exclusively here. Never had a chance to do what your doing. I think it would be fun. Not specifically for the hunting cause of course that's a given but as a person that works the land and 100% lives from it planning out specific areas and plans for things to benefit at different times would be cool. I'm jealous so I enjoy watching. I've applied with a friend for a zone 6 tag this year. We will Come occupy your deer with a bow if u are In 6 haha

One of the reasons I moved here was so I could do this. I love working the land and figuring the land and deer out ad much as the hunting. Thankfully as a resident I don't have to worry about zones haha. But im in zones 4 & 5

If I didn't have a 3 generation farm here to tend to I would be there or in Canada farming and hunting. Good luck

I sprayed the larger of two new fall plots behind my house. Lots of deer tracks in it already. Hopefully one more mowing and one more spray will take care of all the grass by the time I get ready to plant radishes in August.

Checked camera for the very first time on new 120 acre lease. I bumped a 2-3 year old walking out that had a 3-4" drop tine already! I had pics of him 10 days earlier when drop was just a nub. Several other good bucks...and one that will be a slammer.

Like the looks of that. Lots of opportunities for funnels and travel corridors.

The whole property is basically a funnel. that's what drew me to it. There are larger tracts of timber to the south and west of this farm. The creek bottom that runs through this farm connects the two.

Checked my soybean plots at my bigger lease. They are up and out of the ground, which makes me happy.

Also hung 3 stands and put up more cameras at smaller lease.

This one im calling the turkey foot stand. 3 long fingers surrounded by crp converge into a creek bottom. Mega funnel spot.
