Scent free shower with Scent away Max, All clothing and gear I run through scent crusher bag, then Spray down with Dead Downwind at truck and again in stand.

And I also put ever calm on the soles of my boots before walking in

I’ve only heard a few statements about ever calm... all good but only a few statements. You must feel like it works. Even in your video it looked like that doe spotted you in the tree, but she never busted. She was trying to wind you but still nothing

When she was standing there trying to spot me in the tree she was also 100% downwind. Obviously If I had moved, she would have spooked. But she kept coming back in front of me over and over. I watched her smell my boot tracks a few different times. It was as if she was confused because she could smell a deer (the ever calm) but couldn't find it.

So last night I had a similar encounter. Got to a new stand location, but checked a couple of cameras along the way. As I walk up to my stand I notice my bow is no longer with me....son of a....I walk back 200 yards in thick coverage and find it right where i left it. I get back to my stand and all I'm thinking is how stupid that was. 6:30 rolls around and a lone doe comes out and walks directly down wind of me. Does everything your doe does in your video. She knew something was up but can't quite figure it out. Ended up never winding me. My preparation was a shower with nose jammer shampoo, nose jammer spray on my boots and dead down wind spray before and at my stand with nose jammer wet wipes to clean the sweat off. The stuff really seems to work in my opinion.

No hunting for me tonight, or Saturday. My best shot at my top 2 bucks is the same blind where I passed the 3 year old last sunday. I have no reason to hunt anywhere else at this point. I have 10 cameras in the area and only that spot has these bucks on it. I need a SW or W wind, which I will not have until Sunday PM. It s also supposed to rain this afternoon Through early Sunday Morning, so that is in my favor as well. Supposed to be a SW wind every evening from Sunday-Thursday next week. I will likely hit the spot hard next week. My best chance to kill one of them is before the rut starts and their home range expands. Right now their range is tiny.

This may fly in the face of what the vast majority of bow hunters think...but I hate the rut. hardest time of year to kill a specific buck. I'll take late season or Early season over the rut any day for hunting one particular deer. the rut does away with any discernable patterns and home ranges that existed before.

So Saturday I checked some cams and my food plots on bigger lease. The bucks have finally started to show up, and the plots look amazing. This farm is definitely a rut farm. Too bad nobody will be hunting it this year.

This 9 pt is a new buck...and an absolute TANK! One of the biggest bodied deer I’ve ever seen.

So then I hunted yesterday evening. I got to my Radish plot and went yo check the camera. While I was kneeling down pulling card, 2 doe fawns walk into my plot...at 2:50pm. I layed on the ground for about 5 minutes. One of them came to within 15 feet of me. They eventually decided they weren’t sure what I was and bounded off, but didn’t blow.

Got a sweet clip of Ribcage, a 3 year old, and Jesse Ventura, a 4 year old, sparring.

Had several bucks move in to the area too.

This one, Jesse Ventura I haven’t had a picture of since early July.

So for the hunt. Conditions were absolutely perfect. Temp dropped 20 degrees from Saturday. High pressure bluebird sky day. Deer were on their feet super early. The very first deer in my plot was Ribcage, the big 6x5 3 year old I passed last weekend at last light. He came out before 5:00 pm. I passed him again at 20 yds.

    Here is the video.

Ended up seeing 30 deer. Half were bucks. Heard 2 bucks fighting in the creekbottom south of my blind. At last light, I had an even bigger 3 year old come by. A 155 class 10 with matching g2 stickers and an inline point of his main beam. It was too dark to film.

This is Ribcage, the first buck I passed

I could put this much time in. But I would probably end up divorced and not see my son either. But man if I was single again I would be on the woods a lot more. Wouldn't change a thing though love my family. That's why I fallow Boonersville lol. Awesome deer and glad you do what you love!!
