Then there is this 2 year old 9 point. He had been in camera all summer. Buck with good potential. Unfortunately he has gotten tangled up in hay string. You can see where it's choking him and rubbed his neck. Not sure what to do about him if he were to walk by. I hate to see this. The last picture looks like he got the string out from around his neck and is now dragging it. Broke his g3 trying to get it off too.

Good news is it doesn't look like it is choking him anymore, but bad news is it could still get snagged somewhere. I guess if he comes by you, you will have to assess the situation and make your decision from there. I am sure you will make the right call.

Wonder what it'll do when he rubs his velvet off. If you do take him, I bet their will be some pretty interesting designs on it from the twine.

I think he will be too. What I want now is to find both of his sheds with the twine still on them. He doesn't have any choice but to shed them both at once

I'll be surprised if the twine is still mangled on his horns by December. He goes to rubbing small saplings and such it will pull of there. If it was plastic twine I'd be more worried but that is the twine that rots and breaks pretty easy.

I do have copyright on twine 9 if you pick that name. But we can work something out for a couple hundred inches lol

Well I was going to call him hay string. Twine 9 has a ring to it too.

I agree i think the twine will eventually rub off, but will definitely make for some interesting antlers i bet

Got a bunch done at bigger lease over the weekend. Put up more blinds on elevated platforms. Moved some cameras onto mock scrapes, and planted winter oats in front of 3 blinds. Best part is we got 2 inches of rain last night!!!
