Grab a camera stand mount by Hawk for the cellphone. Makes quick turn for shots of you or outward for filming it. Thing is flexible which is handy. First year using it this season...but also will be lugging the Canon G20 and Fourth Arrow arms around as well....praying I get used to it all smoothly.
So what did the city council tell you last night??? Sent from my SM-G955U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I think it went pretty well. they asked a lot of questions. I spoke for 40 minutes. The reactions I got were favorable from 5 out of 6 council members. One was apprehensive. They said they would discuss it and let me know.
Always has to be that one!! But good news is he will be out voted if the other five all agree... good luck Sent from my SM-G955U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
You know I was nervous when I saw the council because it was 3 men and 3 women. but The 3 women were the ones most in favor of it and asked most of the questions! The one guy who was sandbagging kept saying "well we should do more research and get the DNR's opinion, and see if they want to do a population study, and talk to all the residents....it may take some time..so it may not happen this year." one of the women looked at him and said "why can't we do it this year? it would be a service to the town to reduce the deer population, and we have a person who sounds more than competent to do it" So we will see what happens.
Well i figure you know women so i figure you'll get to hunt lol Sent from my SM-G955U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Just wanted to let you know that I'm really enjoying this thread. You have deer that many of us an only dream about. I have to laugh at the councilman's comment about getting a "study" done. Sure they can & it'll take about a year to plan, at least six months to get the FUNDING approved, and another six months before they start it. Hmmmmm, kinda sounds like someone needs to talk big and not do anything. Oh yeah, silly me...... that's the definition of a politician. I can't even imagine how much it would cost, and your offering it for free. Sounds like the females on the panel have less of an agenda & a ton more common sense ! You'll get it! Thanks! I hope it works out with the city. Im impatiently waiting to hear from them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Checked a few cameras today. Skyline at the big farm is polished and still around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Also got pictures of a buck I call Hartford I saw all fall last year. First pictures since January. Unfortunately I don't think he got much bigger if at all...still a stud though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
At my home farm. My Radish plot is getting absolutely POUNDED. Mr Clean is still around after shedding velvet. He may be my early season target if he keeps it up. My mock scrape is working beautifully too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trident still shows up on every camera on the farm. I have a feeling im going to have to pass him multiple times this year. If I still have a tag the last week of the season ill take him out. Hes 8+ years old. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Today I overseeded those radishes with oats to combat browse pressure and lack of rain. Hopefully it works or there won't be much left soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I also put up 2 blinds on the big farm. One of my homemade bale blinds I put at an outside corner of timber where deer jump the fence into a hayfield. This is the same spot where I missed the 200 incher last year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The other blind I put up 300 yards south of the bale blind on top of a hill, across from another fence jump. This is the spot where I was laying on the haybales and killed my buck last year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I also moved some cameras around and started some more mock scrapes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
