Yes I am. Only problem is most of my filming equipment is set up for having a camera man. my big camera/arm is a real pain to self film with. I don't have a midsize camera, so I will likely just be using my Tactacam, Go Pro, and I phone. Not Ideal, but I'm not toting 25 lbs+ of camera gear by myself.

Picked up my 2016 buck from the taxidermist. He did a phenomenal job as usual. The detail work he does blows me away.

Are you just placing cams over scrapes or are using some scents too?

Tonight i put up two more cameras. Checked and trimmed 2 stands. I put a mock scrape in front of one of them.

Well wish me luck! Tonight I am speaking to the city council in hopes of gaining exclusive bowhunting permission in a city park.

There's a certain golf course in the foothills 15 minutes from my house that could use some mule deer herd management. I often wondered how you could get this ball rolling!
Good luck with the politicians at the meeting. Oh I might mention I am talking of liberal Ca.

I found an old city code that stated mayor can grant permission to hunt...so that's what meeting is about tonight.

I went on a work trip out to Cali a couple months back...on the road From San Francisco to Turlock I saw a bunch of what looked like blacktails in cattle country

The mayor and I have spoken and he is in favor of it, but he wanted to put the proposal to the city council for approval. I hate politics

Ya Muleys and Blacktail up there in central Ca. The guys at the Archery club were talking about hybrids here in southern Ca. Like 5 different mule and blacktail mixes depending on how far south and east you are. I will be honest I've always devoted my efforts and $ to hunt back home in Pa. now that I have started my archery addiction, I am really tempted to give it a try here in Southern Ca. They kill em all the time in the San Gabriel Mtns. Maybe next year???
