Awesome. I'm just doing 3 new clover plots on a new farm. 5 acres total. And putting out 3 new mineral sites, and picking stand/blind locations.

I looked it up, here is what the urban dictonary had to say

    "That's beat
The phrase "That's Beat" comes from a pack of wild mongolian llamas that were lost in africa while setting up christmas decorations in wild captivated jungles of Malyasia or atleast that's what they are congiculating. "

I hope this clears it up for you.

A seed company in Germany actually just gave me some sugar beet seed to try. Ever heard of this stuff?

Spent the last couple days setting up one of the new leases. There’s no tillable ground I can buy back crops on, so I got creative. The two big hayfields haven’t been fertilized in years, and the farmer complained that last year he only got one cutting off of it. So I made a deal to mow off portions of the hayfield (food plot locations) super short, harrow the ground, frost seed clover into it, and fertilize it. He still gets to bale it, which will keep the grass down and ultimately make the plots more attractive. Did one spot about an acre on a bottom field, set up for a south wind, and another about 2 acres on a ridge, set up for W-NW winds

I also frost seeded an awesome little rut funnel. It’s at the base of three draws come together at the bottom of an overgrown cattle pasture. There’s a little gap about 25 yards wide between the end of the draw and the creek. With an awesome oak tree for a stand. This spot is going to be a death trap.

The picture isn’t great because it was basically dark when I got done, but I also frost seeded a little alcove of an overgrown field. It doesn’t look like the farmer did anything but Bush Hog this field last year, so I’m going to talk to him about planning some brassicas this fall. But I love the structure of the spot. There’s a gigantic creek Crossing where the deer funnel off of a south facing Hillside, cross the creek, and walk the fence row down the edge of this little field on their way to food across the road.

Also started a few new mineral sites. The mineral was given to me to try. I have no thoughts on it yet but we will see.

So it looks like I’m heading to Northern Saskatchewan in May for an archery bear hunt. Gonna be a pretty cool experience. The outfitter I’m going with manages for quality (big) bears vs opportunity. Last year they took 2 booner bears, so it’s right up my alley. Lots of color phase bears too. Really looking forward to this trip!

    How can he do that?
Bear outfitters are known to ALWAYS be one step ahead of their competition. They make strange sounding things like yours did.

Bottom line, bears ain't deer and will wander MANY miles for food/ sex.

He's just stretching the truth is all I'm saying. ( As most bear guides do).

Didn't mean to detail your thread, sorry. Kinda feel like Fletch now:hijacked:

I hope you kill a color phase there sweet looking!

You would have to reply with a Meme and talk about how Booner is ruining Iowa for the locals, even tho he is a resident..
