Trying to read this awesome book Fitz suggested "Mapping Trophy Bucks" and everytime I get a few pages into it I wake up an hour later! It's like this book is some crappy time machine that brings me 1 hour into the future with my hand in a bag of doritoes. For some reason though I can read for an hour or two easily on the laptop. It's weird, same couch and same topic but totally different results. Anyone else have this problem!? I almost want to download an ebook version of this book!
I used to have the same problem but I've worked at it for a few weeks and now it not an issue. The trick is to not allow yourself to fall asleep. Every time you start to nod off wake yourself up by drinking water, stand up and walk around the room or something but just train your body and mind not to sleep. If you just do it for a few weeks you'll find it will not be a problem. Also helps to read a book that's really well written and your into it. Good luck.
I noticed in this book the author is constantly describing terrain features where hes hunted with great detail and it's almost impossible to imagine. At first I have an ok idea what hes describing but then he keeps going on and I can only paint a mental picture for so long until I start forgetting. lol This dude should take some art classes!
i have that problem when im trying to study. i get to reading and 20 minutes later i catch myself falling asleep. I have to read some then do something for a little and repeat until i am dont studying
Some authors seem to get so wrapped up in their vast versatility of the English language that they loose the point they were trying to make. IMO. Ie. the Zen and the Art of motor cycle maintenance.
