I checked my cams today. Been out two days. Stealth was looking over a large field on to.e lapse, haven't eyed EVERY photo yet, but doesn't appear to have captured anything. On my old moultrie, I got two bucks and two does. One of the bucks is possibly a shooter. I out some corn and trophy rock in front of that one so I can take an inventory over the next week. Hoping to see some bigguns

They have specific archery season for elk, deer, bear and antelope. The deer, bear and antelope you have to draw a tag. Depending on your area you can draw a deer tag about every other year. Some deer areas are more trophy areas and they can take years to draw. Antelope takes about every six or seven years to draw and again depending on the area you put in for and about the same for bear. Elk archery tags are OTC but most your areas are spike or cow. It takes about 12 years to draw a any bull tag. We do have turkeys and moose. They do a any weapon hunt on those. Which means you can use rifle, bow or muzzle loader. Moose is a once in a life time hunt in Utah. Takes a lot of years to draw a tag.

Well I have good news, and bad news. Good news is I have a lot of does and the same bucks. Bad news is the buck I am seeing the most I might want to let have a chance to grow because I think he has the potential to be pretty special. I do have a 10 walking around somewhere that I got pictures of earlier in the summer but he has been MIA for a month so I really do not know how he finished out. What do you guys think? Looks rather young to me but I am no expert when it comes to aging deer.

It would be rreeeeallllly hard to not poke a hole in that guy if he walked by my stand. If you think you can pass on him, more power to ya. Might get a shot at him next year, if someone else doesn't poke him, or he doesn't go nocturnal. Lotta ifs...

im not too great a judging deer as far as age either but my guess is 3.5 yr old. just by his back/neck. probably score 140's maybe even close to 150 with all the trash he has on his left side. very nice looking deer. he is a definate shooter for me. never have had a droptine on camera or seen one on the hoof. also thought about a wildgame innovations camera and those pics look nice. what model is that one?

It almost looks like a 2 or 3 yr old which would make that guy something really special in the future. But, I'd don't know your hunting pressure around there. With low pressure you might have him stick around for another year or two and blow up into a world-class buck. Or, another hunter, a harsh Winter, EHD or blue tongue could take him. Tough decision for you!!!

That's my same thought Rizzo. I'm scared to let him walk because if I do get lucky enough to get a chance, it might be the last time ever see him too.

I agree with rizzo. Looks pretty young. I don't think I could pass it up around here tho. Too many ppl here would shoot him as soon as I let him walk by. Good luck with whatever you choose to do tho

I agree with the other guys. I can tell you right now though, I wouldn't let him pass myself.

If I had to guess he is a 2.5 yr old. His back is pretty straight. Usually once they hit 3.5 then their back starts to slouch, and they get a little belly underneath. I got a 1.5 yr old 10 point by me that looks just like this one body wise. Some deer just have the right genetics and food to develop decent headgear.

This guy isn't #1 on the hit list...but still can't wait to see what he looks like as a 4yo this year.
