Well, just got home last night from hunting all weekend. Ended up seeing 2 bucks Saturday morning, 1 was a 6 or 7 pt. and the other was just a young spike. Saw 5 does as well which is nice cuz i know the bigger bucks will show up eventually. Usually i'm struggling to find the does so I got a good feeling about this years rut for me.

My neighbor put him in with the beetles (euro mounting him) so I'll score him when he comes out. I think he was only a 2.5 year old but weighed about 215 lbs. Not bad for a PA buck.

Good job on the doe rkn. Looks like a good size. In a month I will be back in the Midwest bow hunting again. For now ducks are keeping me occupied

Hoping to get to my buddy's place soon. He has rule, no bucks under 150" get shot. Has 200 acres. He's seen 4 shooters in last week and a half. I'd sure like to get one of those for the board!

Wow, we are in 5th right now with at least one buck not even scored yet. Not only is this fun, we are staying competitive! The pre-rut is just getting underway here in the mid-west I have a feeling a few more deer will be hitting the ground for team 15!!!

We are far from done I haven't even scored a point yet, but that my own fault I've been holding out for a specific buck. Giving it a little break for a week or so after tonight, cold front is moving in hopefully I can catch one moving a little early.

In tree right now just 10 min from home. Got out of work a little earlier so giving it a shot. Front just passed thru an hour ago. A little windier than I prefer, but we'll see what happens.

we are all finished up with crops on our farm so im gonna be able to hunt quite a bit from here on out. congrats on all the kills. i think the pre rut is right around the corner. ive seen a buck chasing a doe already and the scrapes are starting to get hit very hard. also several rubs around starting to pop up everywhere.

Nice dango...you basically predicted that one!!

Right at sunset had 3 does come out of bedding on neighbors property and stop around 80 yds eating greens. They appeared to slowly be heading my way and i decided I was going to take one if they got within range on the property I had access. At 6:15, I see movement also coming towards the does, but with antlers. He did some eating and checked out 2 of the does. I have not seen this buck before as he was a big 8 that I confidently estimated in the 140's. He started to bump the does in the opposite direction so I did some calling in which it stopped him, but he wouldn't commit my direction. When I snort-wheezed he walked over to a small tree and nearly destroyed it. Legal shooting time ended at 6:29 for me. He walked off with the does allowing me to get down and out of there. Gonna go back after him when I get a "good" wind again.

Nice job dango. Sorry guys haven't been on much to do work, fire training and farm stuff. Did get another sit in Tue night and seen one of shooters. He was about 400 yards away so didn't really feel comfortable with that shot. LOL Hopefully with these temps dropping again after Fri they will be on there feet again. Plus we only have about 200 acres of corn left to shell and that will open up a spot that I have not entered since mid Sept. to check cameras.

400 Yards! That's just a chip shot. Just aim about 50 feet above the deers back and let her fly lol. In most of my spots i'm lucky to see 80 yards. This weekend my dad cant go hunting so I think i'm gonna take a 1 weekend break and then my vacation time starts Halloween weekend. I'll be in high gear then putting in lots of time.

I will be back at it again this weekend. I have had some tough luck with the does, I am seeing them but just out of range. I moved my stand after 3 sits watching the does walk the tree line about 50yds from my stand. Guess what happens next,, yep next sit they walk under where I just moved my stand from lol. That is hunting. I did have several shots on a a couple does that had spotted fawns with them but I just cant shoot those myself.
