Purchased the Bohning Fletching jig on advice from an archery shop guru. I have a question that is not mentioned in the instructions. How do I get the 2* offset. There is 2 marks on one side of the magnet and one mark on the other, but no directions on were to set the magnet. I will be using 2" Blazers on Carbon Express 400s. Thanks for any help.
What I did when I bought mine was adjust the jig by loosening the 2 thumb nuts and turning the bracket so that the front right corner of the fletch was just barely on the shaft and the back left corner of the fletch was just barely on the shaft. Not sure what degee it is but I wanted maximum offset. I then marked the bracket in case if I use a fletching other than blazers.
Thanks, I finally called Bohning and they told me about the same thing. Just have to play with it and get the offset I want. The marks on the jig are just reference points and do not indicate a certain degree offset.
