Hey fellow bowhunters, I am in need of some technical advice. Has anybody used the Bohning Blazer Fletching Jig? If so, what are the pros and cons of the product. I was at bass pro shops this weekend, and was recommended the product. I picked one up, but I am not real sure of it yet and was wondering what some other bowhunters thought of it. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_96330____SearchResults
I haven't but the big con I see to it is that you can only fletch Blazers or other short fletchings with it. I can fletch anything I want from Blazers to 5" flu-flu's with my Jo-Jan.
I know lots of people use the blitzenberger jig, but I want to know what people think of the bohning jig.
I am going to say you are looking into the Bohning jig to save a few $$? I did the same thing and so far after 3-4yrs I have absolutely no complaints? If I were you and saving money is your objective I would just buy the regular Bohning jig. I was still able to fletch Blazers with mine as well as i am able to fletch many more styles of fletchings as well. I will say though that I only fletch 1-2dozen arrows a year and it works fine it should last me a lifetime, but if I was someone that would be fletching more then that I would definantely look into atleast the Jo-Jan if not spend the couple extra dollars for the Bitz..!
