A man who is famous for throwing a chair onto the floor, choking one of his own players, and leaving a player in another STATE after a poor performance wants to talk about integrity, I on the other hand want to laugh at him.

Calipari has never been proven to cheat. He HAS been proven to recruit a player who accepted money from a pro scout and another player who decided to cheat on a test in high school. Head coaches should be held accountable, but to what degree?

11-0 heading into tonight looking for the 2000th win btw. :D

So you're discounting what he said.....because HE said it?

Do a web search on your boy. I'm guessing the UMass and Memphis sheeple felt the same way you do ...................................................at one time.

I saw a poll question recently that gave me a little chuckle...

How many banners will be removed from Kentucky's rafters after Calipari leaves? :D

Really? Pardon my skepticism, but, as GMMAT did, could you show us? :)

Arguing this topic is beyond stupid. Anyone watching the game right now would have the situation explained to them perfectly by the announcers.

Not a SINGLE coach in the NCAA would have benched Derrick Rose after the NCAA already cleared him to play.

Not a SINGLE coach in the NCAA could have prevented Marcus Camby from receiving money on the side from an agent without being with the player 24/7.

I know John Calipari is a terrible devil of a human being, but atleast use SOME logic when trying to slander him.

I'm not discounting his opinion because of the messengers actions, Im discounting the opinion based off of no substance behind it.....I'm just LAUGHING at him and people who support him for his prior actions.

A guy shoplifts a shirt as he leaves the store and turns to his buddy *****in about how taxes are practically robbery...wouldn't you find that amusing?

Call me a skeptic, but I don't trust that any successful program is playing by the rules.
Gri22ly...... I always thought that Uof I was IU's biggest rival? At least 20 years ago when both programs were still good. ;)

Probably a popular response, also, when KY fans see these type of discussions (reference Calipari's "history").

I expect this at some schools. I never expected it at KY.

It's like they took a greasy, light-year leap into the realm of all that's bad in college sports.......and they DON'T CARE.

AL Capone was finally arrested and imprisoned on the horrific charges of................tax fraud.

Using KY's mentality.......................that's all he was guilty of.

    :D

    Keep trying.

Any other thoughts you'd care to elaborate on? Is John Wall over-rated? Is Kentucky really just a terrible basketball program? I'm very curious for more of your thoughts on all that entails UK Basketball.

    72-29 score update. 11:02 til 12-0.

Trevor...I'm not "trying" to do anything. The FACTS are so well-known, it makes "making things up" pointless. You can't make up stuff better than this!

2 vacated final fours. Never even been done ONCE (by anyone other than Calipari). Bobby ain't blind! Bobby ain't DUMB!

Sometime....when you get a few minutes.....google "Lou Roe" and "Donta Bright".;)

That is what losing will do. The farther a program falls, the bigger the gamble it will take to get back to it's winning ways. I don't blame KY for doing it. Its a sad reality of college sports. Like mentioned before, I don't believe for a second that other top programs are playing 100% by the rules. That doesn't make it okay, but maybe we are becoming conditioned to it. People have very short term memories when you are winning. Rich Rodriguez at Michigan is a great example of that. A lot of criticism before the season started, it was all forgotten with a 4-0 start, and it quickly rekindled when they finished on a 1-7 skid.

Your a big fan of squeaky clean programs and apparently more recently integrity in college hoops. So I ask you....

Should Coach K not have vacated his 1999 National Runner Up season for playing ineligible Corey Maggette? Was paid by an agent to play basketball, played a freshman year at Duke, brought them the same success Memphis found with Derrick Rose, then was later found ineligible...or do they get a pass for being such a squeaky clean program? I mean, its COACH K, not that scum bag Cal after all!

Sounds like a question for the NCAA. As far as I know, they've never sanctioned Duke or Coach K (quite sure of it, actually).

You're kinda thinking along the lines of the NCAA, now, Trevor.

I know and the hypocrisy is astounding!:)

You are correct, they ruled afterwards that Corey Maggette was ineligible, but opted to NOT punish the program or coach as they "should not have known" that Maggette was previously paid.

In the Memphis case, with EXACT same scenario setup (Minus Coach Ks flawless rep that benefits the NCAA), they ruled Memphis SHOULD HAVE realistically known about Rose cheating on his test while still in High School, even though the NCAA themselves said he was clear to play.

Have to love clear as mud logic! My point was, these things happen to EVERYONE, including the saint Coach K himself, it only sticks when the mud is slung at Cal.
