My favorite coach of all time, if you have not read a season on the brink, it's a great book.

Hot tempered, but definitely a competitive man in life. Had a hard time combining a bit of compassion in the mix.

    Hardknocks coach in its infancy

Basketball was something special through those years. High school and college. Grew up watching the best Hoosier basketball era with Knight and Keadys rivalry. Some great classic basketball during those times.

Different era, Bobby had the balls to go on Letterman to discuss his chair throwing incident. He was close friends with Bud Grant and Sid Hartman a Minnesota sports legend sports writer. I bet if Bobby was on your side he was beloved, if you were his nemesis you hated him. I do remember he wanted to be buried laying up side down so his critics could kiss his ass.

I was a student at IU the year he got fired. It was a night of bedlam.
The coward Myles Brand did it on a Sunday because IN blue laws prevented the student body from buying booze; didn't matter.

He was the last of a Breed. That program has been a travesty ever since.

    Here's to The General.

It was always a goal of mine to see an Indiana game in Assembly Hall, how was it to go to a game?
