Well which is it? Are white people finally just shutting up and holding in their true feelings out of fear or are white people finally finding out racism exists for the first time because of the outspoken minorities? Can't have it both ways. I've lived in both KY and AL, what should be the two most racist states in the country...and I've only been seeing hate towards white people like the fox blogger costas quoted...not the other way around.
I know if I were a pro athlete making millions I would carry every single day to protect myself and my family. I would also purchase shotguns and potentially more lethal legal weapons to protect my family within my home. There have been many instances where pro athletes were attacked and robbed.
I'm saying that racism has always been there. Its just that one group is getting more vocal about it publicly, while the other is getting less vocal publicly. White people want to be more PC, and black people don't fear the consequences of speaking out like in the past. Maybe the amount of racist things we hear is evening out, but you don't have to say things publicly to be a racist. That hasn't changed much. I still think its decreasing. White people were racist for no reason, so that is dying a little with each generation. Black people were racist because they were treated horrible, and that is dying with each generation.
How many generations have to pass before that excuse is invalid? I mean, I am aware there are a few places in this country where it is prevalent, but it is just a few...
And as far as dying with each generation....it will start when racists like Sharpton and the like die....
Don't know. There are a lot of people that lived through some pretty degrading stuff and were treated as lesser human beings for no other reason than the color of their skin. They are going to pass on some of that hate to their children, but with each generation, the hope is that it will decrease. Do I think it makes it okay to be a racist? No. Do I think its a "valid excuse" for the people that lived though it? Sure, at least there is an excuse I guess. I can certainly see that point of view. But it doesn't mean everyone uses that excuse. Some people chose to live with a chip on their shoulder, and some people do not. My FIL is 72 and he experienced some real BS for many years. He is one of the most forgiving people I have ever met. He chooses to not live with that hate, but he hasn't forgotten what happened.
Your FIL is what makes this nation great... it is too bad he doesn't have the platform that some of these other Yahoos do...
Same -- I would never agree with anything Stephen Hawking said about space because I prefer listening to someone who looks like they could go to space themselves.

"The gun culture"..... "The gun culture" If Costas had blamed this on the 'Black culture' a lot more people would be calling for his head.
Our current gun culture simply ensures that more and more domestic disputes will end in the ultimate tragedy, and that more convenience-store confrontations over loud music coming from a car will leave more teenage boys bloodied and dead. That's what Jason Whitlock wrote Bob added the hand gun commit on his own.He back peddled his *** off on Dan Patrick. On Dan Patrick he never mentioned hand guns he went after the easy target with the assault rifles. NBC won't fire because he is towing the company line and they don't want the press. My opinion of him hasn't changed he is a smart guy but like most of the big media types he is spewing the liberal media BS. He is uneducated when it comes to weapons and should keep his opinions to a different forums then a national audience of football fans.
