I Live in Florida, and the boar are crazy where I'm at. There are thousands of them in my back yard. When i go hunting with a bow this year (first animal to kill with bow hopefully) I need advice on what to do. Should i set some bait? DO i need to stay in one spot and wait. Should i do it at night? What arrow head do you recommend. I also just purchased my first bow, A browning Micro Midas 2, I need a new sight for it... A Sorta cheap one. Which one will work best.... Also do all sight work with all bows? Like i don't have to put anything on it except screw it in?
is baiting legal in florida?if so set you up a feeder w/ a timer and throw you a game camera up to see what you got and set up a few spots like that for more variety and so you dont wear a spot out. use your scent killer b/c them hogs have noses just as good or better than a whitetail.you can spot and stalk or still hunt thats the wonderful thing about hunting theres no one way theres many. hunting at nite is awesome but i think people do that more w/ dogs or put lights on a feeder. i recommend the 100grain magnus buzzcut 4 blade watch ole uncle ted shot them hogs with it its one and done bubba! go get you a tru-glo or a trophy ridge for around 20-30 bucks throw you a pin light on it thats a big help in low light conditions. good luck to you going hog hunting myself soon! oh yeah watch ol'pigman the series on sportsmanschannel that dude is a hog specialist.
I'm all new to bows so... but do all sights mount perfectly on each bow. like all mounts are the same?
most fit all bows unless its an ancient bow.just take it to a pro shop and they'll put it on for you for nothing and they line it up for you
Once more question though.. Of bows start to loose power do you just take it in for a tune up? or what?
bows dont loose power if you keep them tuned, take care of your strings and replace them when they need to be replaced take care of your equipment and it'll perform accordingly
Okay cause i bought a used one from a buddy. It needs a new sight but otehr than that its all in perfect condition. I'll just go get it tuned and sighted in and i'll be good to go boar huntin or bow fishing
