Jim Miller wins the prize. The bear hunting has taken a turn for the worse and they have become nocturnal....not even crepuscular. Three other hunters in camp this week and no bears have died yet. Here's a self photo of a couple grouse Dubs killed yesterday.

Love me some Grouse with mashed taters and gravy.
Try this guys, use less bait, cut it in half, have Dubbs take a dirty T shirt with him and leave it in the stand over night, Bag the dirty shirt up when you get there next evening and try a sweet burn.

Sweet. That is some nice practice. Hopefully the bear action will turn around so you can put those shooting skills to work on something a bit larger.

    Good luck.

Yep... the bh.com version of the NAP Quikfletch Flu-Flus... check them out in the shopping cart. :poke: Actually only one was sitting, the rest were standing... Nobody said anything about sport, I like to eat.

Sliver, we have plenty of bears, they've gone nocturnal pretty much everywhere. 11 hunters had killed 11 bears prior to my arrival now nobody has seen a bear in 3 nights. This is when they're coming to the bait... It's all good though, Dan and I are having a great time.
