After hitting this season wide open and not seeing a single deer until tonight, I was getting a little frustrated, and to beat it all it was so foggy all I could see was an opaque 60yards. I got in my stand around 5pm and settled in for a not so confident evening... The fog lifted a little and so did my hopes... then it started pouring the rain.... Not long after the rain set in Two fawn does come out into the field around 7pm, one dark colored one real light colored... I could see the light colored really well, so I decided to take her. They were very skittish I assume because of the noise of the downpour, and neither would ever turn broadside, They meandered at 36 yards for a spell while daylight was losing battery power. Finally she walked straight to me to 30 yards, stopped on a dime and turned broadside, like it was meant to be(God know I was prayin' hard enough for one). I KNEW I had to hit her good, because it was pouring... I settled, released and she never made it back out of the field. I believe I'm going to have this one tanned to have as a throw or something. By the time I finished taking my last pics... the fog rolled right back in.lol Entrance: Exit:
Like I told you in text messege, I put one down almost identical to that tonight. Didn't snap pictures, I was in a rush trying to avoid the rain. Also, the deer was a mess, it wouldn't have been a very internet friendly pictures. The rage did its job once again, it beat anything I have ever seen.
