I currently have a Black Hole target in my yard. I think it's 24 x 24 but didn't seem to hold up as well as I thought it would. I'm blowing almost all the way through it burying my fletchings even with adding some cardboard and a carpet on the back. (Probably shouldn't leave it out in the sun as much as I have but can't change that now.) I was wondering if anyone had any good information on a more robust target? I've been looking at the Field Logic Block Black target. It looks a bit more solid and not layers of foam put together like the Black Hole. Any suggestions would be helpful and yes, this time I won't leave it out in the sun. Thanks!

I've got 2 different block targets. My 1 is about 3 years old and shot to hell. I always left it outside and the weather destroyed it. My other 1 is is only a year old but i keep that one in the garage when I'm not using it. Besides arrow holes its still like brand new. Hope that helps ya

I figured keeping it out of the sun would have helped. I was thinking of getting a cross bow block. They are designed to stop faster "bolts" so I thought that may be an option as well. Any thoughts on that? And yes it does help thanks for the feedback!

Watch the YouTube target review video that Gear Freak did. I would look at getting a Rhinehart! Best targets available I think!

Rinehart to me is the best I have bought...the 18-1 is great.

I agree with ferg. I would look into a Rhinehart. I don't have one personally, YET, but a friend of mine does and it's a phenomenal target. Way better than my block target. My next target will, without a doubt, be a Rhinehart 18-1.

The Rhinehart looks really good and the price isn't too bad either. Thanks for the advice and help. Much appreciated!

That was a great video! I'll take his advice if I ever have a broad head only target. Thanks! Rhinehart it is!

I use my 18-1 for both broadheads and field points. I don't even bother with bag targets anymore.

What works best for me is using a Morrell Elite bag for FP. I get 3 years out of it but I keep it out of the weather and sun. For BH nothing beats a Rinehardt. My next one will be the biggest block they make and I plan on getting many years from it. That is if my 18:1 ever wears out. It's on my second year and if looks like 2 more.

I bought one of the Block targets for broadheads only but I don't leave it outside and it holds up just fine. I had an older one that sat outside and rain and other elements wore that thing out and arrows would blow through it. For field tips, I use the 18:1.

I have a Mckenze bag I love it very durable shoot at it alot. I don't like the block because you can only shoot at it so much until big chunks start coming off of it. The price for the bag is a lot cheeper then the blocks. My uncle has a bone collector bag that he has owned for 4yrs. It is in great shape and he and others shoot at it plenty (its in his shop.).
all in all more bang for your buck. (or thwack. )

18:1 it is. Thanks guys! I just shot some new Toxics tonight and they blew right through my Black Hole to my wood backstop even were the target had minimal wear.
