I am fairly new to using a ground blind for deer. Have used them in past for turkey but I just set them up for them. I've got 2 blinds set in diff hay filers that we have brushed in with the bails. Was wonder what u guys do with windows after the days hunt. I've been closing mine to keep out dew and such. Startin to wonder if I should leave them open all the time or not. I'm seeing deer and they come within 50-60 but nothing in my lap. Was wondering what everyone else does. Thanks
I leave mine open exactly how they will be when I am hunting them. This way the big black blobs (inside of windows) don't change each time the deer sees the blind. We've gotten a couple inches or rain in the last week and didn't notice any in my blind either having windows open.
Ditto. For instance, I leave my windows open on my hay bale blind all the time. I do leave the mesh up when not in there but down when hunting. Mainly because it gives me 10 minutes or so more shooting time during primetime.
